March 5 Update

Last night we had our second operating test session. Overall everything when over great. There were a few new issues to deal with. There was a problem with the Exchange Trackage not holding all the cars, this has now been addressed with the removal of the 2 x 4 on edge and the installation of 9.5 x 24 module. This will allow one more car in each of the tracks. There were also a few "dead" sections, which I hope to have addressed by the next session. A complete check of the rolling stock is also planned sometime soon.

This session included two new operators, Jeff Ryan, who will be a regular and Scott Jay, a visiting operator from PEI, who was in town for meetings. Bruce Castle was Yard Master as last time, but this time he did get to leave the Yard to do the Junction Turn.

It is still taking between forty five minutes to an hour to do the Roseton and Dogwood Turns. I hope that as more operating sessions happen, the time will be reduced as more operators learn the trackage of each Turn.

March 2 Update

A few things have changed on the layout since the last update. I have added my other 28 inch module to the Roseton area. This has allowed Leo's Feed to move from its old location to the new module, allowing more room for scenery around the area. The old location of Leo's Feed is now R & C Transfer, a loading ramp and small warehouse. Also the track for Inland Cement has been lengthen and A & D Plastics ( formly ABC Plastics) will be added to this track. With A & D Plastics moving to Roseton from Dogwood, the reloading track will nowlocated at their old track in Dogwood.

Sunday night, I am hoping to have a second test session with a guest operator Scott Jay.

Caboose Track

The WRS Engineering Department is please to report that a Caboose Track has been installed in the Yard.

White River Bridge

As can be seen from this picture, the WRS Engineering Division have completed the replacement of the bridge over the White River. The old bridge had to be replaced when one of the crews servicing Junction at the last operating session, had an oil car, which they were moving, go through the side of the bridge.
