White River Paper Co.

On Monday night Ross arrived for the operating session with two building for the White River Paper Company. These are foamcore copies of the Superior Paper Company.
The main building will be used for the Shipping warehouse. We will add a metal siding addition for the second track.

Side view of the Shipping Warehouse.

The second building will be the Power Plant.

Yes, I have since the picture was taken, have installed some "ground" under the building. The track with the covered hopper will be changed.

Still have a few more building to make.

later

Hi-

This isn't related to this post, but I don't believe there is any system for communicating with other bloggers other than these comments.

I actually model a railroad with the same name, the White River Southern, except mine runs from Concord, NH to White River Jct, VT in 1997. When I came up with the name, I thought it was completely original.

My blog site is here: http://wrsrr.blogspot.com/

Maybe our railroads could either merge, or depending on the era, could be separate entities of the same company.

(I got the inspiration for this idea from an article in Model Railroader about 2 modelers modeling the same railroad.)

Sorry for thread-jacking your post,

Regards,

Tyler

Now that is intersting--2 freelance model railways with the same name. That could provide some interesting possibilities--2 division of a larger railway system, a common paint scheme and custom decals, etc.

Anyone know of another "Carleton Railway" somewhere?

Interesting. Mine is not based on anyone spot. I needed something that would give me WRS. Friends of mine were modelling the New England area, which is were I also wanted my layout to be based. Came across the name White River Junction and used the White River name. Time frame is still up in the air, but will likely be in 2004 range.

Well, there is the York and Carleton Railway in Canada...

I model the southern half, Concord and about ten miles North of it, maybe you could model the White River Jct area.

I don't know what your paint scheme is (if you've settled on one) but I have one unit in the paint shop being painted into a medium red color, which is probably too late to change, but the decals aren't on as far as I know, so those could probably change. (a friend of mine is painting it)

Tyler
